American Red Cross – Red & White Ball 2013

As promised, in this weeks post I will show you the final photos from the American Red Cross organization hosted the American Red Cross Metro North New York North Chapter’s Red & White Ball which was held at the Net Jets Hangar at Westchester County Airport in White Plains, NY.

As you all know, for this year’s event I was fortunate enough to partner up with Clarke Corporation, New England’s official Sub-Zero & Wolf Showroom and Test Kitchens. Working with Clarke was an amazing and unforgettable design experience. Below is one of the process sketches that we created with the help of John Waski Design, LLC followed by a few images to show our design journey.

The dynamic design approach that we took revolves around the Clarke signature statement, “Cooking is believing!”

One of the various design aspects that appealed to me was how beautifully engineered and sculpted industrial design can be, especially when seen in everyday household products. The center piece reflected a dramatic red “lipstick” feel which was created out of a ventilation hood by Best, this piece is  beautifully crafted and appears to be a work of art rather than a ventilation system.

3The Red column was surrounded by a variety of kitchen tools from Clarke’s kitchen boutique Savoir Fare. The place mats used were created out of Wolf gas range grate’s with the bold red Staub cocettes. Staub’s cast-iron cookware was a key factor in creating this dramatic effect, the iron, reflective shine and variety of appliances was beautifully contrasted by the addition of the soft and delicate table linens from Le Jaquard Francais, also available at Savoir Fare.

I hope you have enjoyed our final table top creation as much as we enjoyed working with all of the marvelous distributors that have showed their support, allowing our table top to be created.

Again, a special thanks goes out to Clarke’s and Savoir Fare for their contribution and dedication to the American Red Cross, Red & White Ball of 2013!
