Bedroom Designs for Childs’ Play

I love the idea of designing children’s rooms; the options, colors and possibilities are endless just like the minds of children! Between the vibrant colors and funky patterns, children’s rooms are so youthful and one of a kind. They are the perfect place to create spaces which help them grown and indulge in their creative senses! I have selected a few inspirational images to inspire you in the field of designing children’s rooms.

Victoria Hagan Interiors

This space done by Victoria Hagan shows a great way in which you can utilize awkward shaped spaces. Always keep in mind; every obstacle is a design opportunity! She has transformed this long narrow room into a fully functioning children’s area that is beautifully done. I also love the crisp clean blues against the stark whites; a perfect get away for any child.

Amanda Nisbet Design

This children’s room is an explosion of color, all in a cohesive palette. If you want to create a room with the ultimate creative feel, then look no further than here for inspiration. From the pops of bright mustard yellow, to the accents of silver against the pinks and array of other colors, this room is so funky and out of the ordinary; any little girl would die to have this space as her own.

Jonathan Adler

Here is another space that has a creative and eclectic yet girly feel, done by designer Jonathan Adler. I love the saturated color palette that he has chosen; all of the colors work incredibly well and complement each other perfectly. I am especially intrigued by the look that he has created by using the darker hues of girly colors, straying away from your typical pastels and lighter shades that are associated with children’s rooms. This room has a mature and grown up feel, definitely a space to grow up in!

Massucco Warner Miller

This lovely little girl’s room designed by Melissa Warner is so quaint. The colors are lively and fresh; it is the perfect modern take on a Cinderella feel, wonderful for a little girls retreat! This is also great inspiration if you are dealing with a small space. Combining a day bed along with built in shelving is as beautiful, as it is functional!

Charlotte Moss

This space has an unbelievably elegant and timeless feel, definitely fit for a little prince or even a princess! It is a great example of how to create an amazing space for a child without using crazy and wild colors; perfect inspiration for if you want a traditional and timeless feel. What is especially great is that all of the furnishings and upholstery are neutral, nothing reads distinctly childish. It is the ideal transitional space, one that will never go out of style and can belong to either a boy or girl. The design alone is absolutely stunning; the warm and rich colors with hints of greens have an incredibly soothing and cozy feel. I would just love to snuggle up in this space.

After having viewed these amazing children’s rooms, I hope that you are now able to look and think about how to design them in a new way! After all, children are the most creative in the purest form and need a space where they can live, grow and create to their fullest potential. Their rooms must fit perfectly for them and their needs! Remember, like always it’s all in the details!
