Completing Your Space With a Bold Ceiling!

Ceilings are often a missed design opportunity. Straying away from the traditional white ceiling can have a major impact on the overall look and mood of your room. Whether it is a punch of paint, a patterned wall paper, or paneling, it is the perfect opportunity to spice up your space. If you want to bring a distinct look to an often neglected part of your interior decor, then look no further for inspiration, than what I have displayed below.

Need I say more? I adore this gorgeous green powder room designed by Shelley Johnstone Paschke. The shades of emerald green are so luxurious in this Italian Renaissance estate. This is an amazing example of how you can use a funky and surprising pattern like this one, inspired from agate stone on the ceiling, while still having a classic look. I also love the choice of accessories. The combination of the blue and white Chinese vases as well as a Lucite console, is an exquisite mix of elements.

This entrance room is Hollywood glamour at its best! I am obsessed with the bold yellow walls paired with the gold accents, and sleek details on the doors and table top. I love how the ceiling has used the yellow in an intricate and funky design, which brings even more excitement to the space. This room is amazing!

I love how the gold detail in this ceiling emphasizes the other gold elements in this room. The ceiling adds unexpected glamour and brings the room together. By using the pattern only in the center of the ceiling highlighted by the white trim, is a great way to bring focus to the center of the room.

Adding texture to a ceiling is another great way to bring that unique element to the usually ignored space, especially if you are looking for a more muted look. This coffered ceiling features over 1,000 squares with over 1,000 carved roses inside of each. This is another great example of how ceiling detail can be classic, while also being extremely luxurious.

I hope that these amazing ceilings bring inspiration and life to your designs. If you would like further inspiration, feel free to view my work here. With any comments or questions, please contact me here. And remember, as always, “It’s all in the Details”.
