A Space Which May Not Be Forgotten!

The entrance into a home is a key area, the focal point and space where everyone is welcomed in. I have decided to select a few spaces to show you ways in which you can liven up your welcoming entrances whether they are big or small!

Here is a smaller foyer done by Christina Murphy it is just so beautiful, the attention to detail in the crisp molding along with the punch of orange on the walls makes such a statement. I love the large mirror which not only opens up the space but adds such beauty and elegance. The dainty crystal chandelier that hangs above also adds a nice charm to the space toning down the boldness of the bright orange walls.

This foyer exudes so much energy, between the black and white marble flooring, crimson red door and bright blue walls everything appears to be so alive! If you are looking for a more whimsical and statement foyer entrance than designer Miles Redd is who should inspire you!

Here is another foyer which is small in scale yet bold in color! I designed this space for the Governor’s mansion guest house.  Because we were dealing with such a narrow space I chose bright yet subtle and warming colors to stick to that cottage feel. I also added pops of greens into the library room which is the focal point when entering the foyer as well as accent flowers. These small changes make such a difference for the feel of a space, you should try them out!

Here is another foyer that I have done for a client which features a more open grand setting. There is a very light and spacious feel that has been established not only through all of the light that is being poured into the space but also the selection of fabrics and textiles. Everything is airy and clean yet elegant.

Here is inspiration for another grand and open foyer entrance; I just love how the architecture of the space is enough to keep everything alive with not much added fabrication and furniture pieces. The beautiful wrapping stairs combined with the clean walls and sleek flooring; this space is so glamorous and elegant.

I hope that these foyers have inspired you to rethink your entrance space weather yours be big or small! If you have any comments or questions please contact me here, and remember when designing It’s all In the details.
