Dining Chairs as Exciting to Look at as to Sit In

My Interior Design philosophy is, “it’s all in the details.” Nothing proves this statement more than dining chairs.  They make a big impact in transforming a room. Here are nine examples of dining chairs as exciting to look at as to sit in, and the type of rooms they can make come to life. This chair would look great in a Country Kitchen with an antique farm table. It will only get better looking with wear and tear over the years. This chair smacks of old Hollywood glamour. I love the X design in the back legs that suggests the sensual flirt about a woman’s crossed ankles. Thischair would look stunning in a Dining Room with Chinoiserie wallpaper. This chair has combined a traditional French design for the legs with a more contemporary interlocking circle back, which makes it terrific for either a traditional or transitional setting. This chair has a Damask pattern cut into the back, which would create a beautiful shadow line on the floor from sun beams. This chair would look terrific with quilted, patent leather upholstery in a contemporary setting. That is me next to the chair from Guy Chaddock & Co. It is perfect for an upholstered chair at the head of a table because the scale is smaller, which makes it easier to move the chair, and it is very comfortable. This chair is a new interpretation of the classic Klismos design. It would look great in a traditional to contemporary setting, depending upon the appropriate finish selection. This chair looks like royalty. It would be spectacular in a glass atrium, with the film crew from “Merchant and Ivory” bustling around for a movie scene. I never lose my enthusiasm for picking out beautiful dining chairs. If you would like to see how I use a chair and make a room come to life, let me show you how “it’s all in the details.” Do you think these chairs are as exciting to look at as sit in?
